Product Photo

This line card is designed for use in slots 8-11 of the M3-CLOS-ENCL or M3-CLOS-ENCL-B enclosures to provide the spine switching in the stand-alone "Clos256" configuration.

Specifications

Backplane ports (64): Standard Myrinet-2000 serial ports: each 2.0+2.0 Gb/s data rate, 2.5+2.5 GBaud 8b/10b-encoded signaling, on the backplane connector.

Switches: Two Myricom XBar32 chips with all ports appearing on the backplane connector.

Microcontroller functions: Self-test, board identification, voltage monitoring, temperature monitoring (upstream & downstream in the air flow), and XBar32 scan path functions. All status information is reported on demand through the serial link (to an M3-MONITOR monitoring line card). The µC will shut off the line-card power except for the µC section on over-temperature (greater than 55C) or other fault conditions. The µC controls a Status LED on the front panel: Off: not operating; Green: operating. Yellow: fault.

Power requirements: +12V input power @ 1.5A (18W) maximum. The line card is hot-swappable.

Physical characteristics: 9U-220mm card per IEEE 1101.10, with specialized connectorization. Weight 1.2 pounds (550 g).

Environmental limits: Operating: Temperature 15C to 50C up to 10,000 foot altitude. Relative humidity 15% to 80% @ 50C, non-condensing. Storage: Temperature -40C to 70C. Relative humidity 90% @ 65C.

Regulatory Approvals: When properly installed in a Myricom M3-CLOS-ENCL or M3-CLOS-ENCL-B enclosure, the line card is fully compliant with EN55024 (1998), EN55022 Class A (1998), VCCI Class A (May 1999), FCC Part 15 Subpart B Class A, CISPR 22/85 Class A, ICES-003 Class A (ANSI C63.4 1992), and AS/NZS 3548 Class A (w/A1 & A2 1997).
