Introduction

VI-GM is a port of VIA (Virtual Interface Architecture) on top of GM over Myrinet, and is supported by Myricom. It is based on the Virtual Interface (VI) Architecture, defined by the following documents:

• Virtual Interface Architecture Specification Revision 1.0 , this document is the original specification of the Virtual Interface Architecture.

• Intel Virtual Interface (VI) Architecture Developer's Guide Revision 1.0 , this document is the full specification of the VIPL 1.0 APIs, described in less detail by Appendix A of the VI Arch specification.

• Intel Virtual Interface (VI) Architecture Developer's Guide Error Table Supplement Revision 1.0 , this document is a supplement to the Revision 1.0 Developer's Guide.

This distribution also contains the Intel VI Architecture Conformance Suite V0.5, which is a tool used to aid in the determination of conformance of a VIPL implementation to the recommended interface in the Intel Virtual Interface Architecture Developer's Guide.
