The current GM software release for Solaris on UltraSPARC hosts is GM-1.6.4_Solaris. For further details, please refer to the Solaris Download Page.

The following performance data was collected with GM version 1.6.4_Solaris and Sun HPC ClusterTools 4.0. When viewing this data, please keep the following details in mind:

• GM-1.6.4_Solaris supports streaming DMA.
• No memory registration is supported in this version of GM.
• Myrinet PM uses memory copies for all message transmissions.

The test environment includes two Sunfire 280R machines, each with a M3F-PCI64C-2 interface on a 66 MHz 64bit PCI bus, connected by a Myrinet-2000 switch. Each machine has 2 UltraSPARC-III 600 MHz CPUs and 2 GB memory, and is running Solaris 8 on a 64-bit kernel.
