Nanette J. Boden

Nan Boden, Executive Vice President and Member of the Technical Staff at Myricom, grew up in the Huntsville, Alabama area. She earned her BS degree from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) in Applied Mathematics, and her MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Computer Science graduate program at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

At Caltech, Nan's advisor was Chuck Seitz, whom she now has the honor of calling "boss" rather than "advisor". After a year as a post-doctoral research fellow at Caltech, Nan moved along with the other people in Chuck's research group to found Myricom. Nan's research in runtime systems for fine-grain multicomputers led directly into her work at Myricom, where she wrote the earliest version of the Myrinet Control Program.

At Myricom, Nan served in a number of sales and operations positions prior to being named Executive Vice President in 2001.

Nan also has the honor of being the mother of three wonderful boys, and has a pretty cool husband Andy Boden, ace astrophysicist/astrometrist/interferometrist.
